Upright Bass

Light, portable and beautiful with a top acoustic sound!

Tivoli upright electric basses can be custom built to match the set up of
any player's acoustic bass allowing the player to switch easily between
acoustic and electric instruments. Being much more compact and far
lighter than an acoustic bass, the Tivoli upright bass is easily
transportable making travelling a breeze and maneuvering on stage
quite effortless. The Tivoli electric upright bass can be played on a stand
leaving the player completely free to move about, or played on an end
pin together with an adjustable bout which is instantly adjustable to suit
the playing style of any player. Basses can be supplied with a
custom-made gig bag or aluminium flight case. Upright bass necks can
be made to match a D, E-flat or any custom length to match the acoustic
instrument of any player.

The same high-fidelity bi-morphed peizo transducer pickups are used
on the upright bass as on all Tivoli electric cellos.

Tivoli basses are also available with EMG magnetic coil pickups.
For a hotter and more punchy sound, the EMG magnetic coil pickups
(4 or 5 string) can be fitted in addition to or as an alternative to
transducer pickups. This can provide the opportunity to be able to
switch between the acoustic-sounding piezo pickups and electric
bass-sounding coils or blend both to create the right balance for the
occasion.
