Tivoli electric cellos, upright basses and violins are designed and hand
crafted by Tivoli Instruments, a specialist electric instrument makèr in
Sydney, Australia. Tivoli electric cellos and upright basses have two
state-of-art peizo transducer pickups built into the bridge immediately
under each string providing a pure high-fidelity sound quality. Electric
violins can have either single or two pickups per string.

The design priorities of Tivoli Instruments has been to create electric
cellos, upright basses and violins with:

2. specialised and accurate custom instrument setup,

Tivoli solid-body electric cellos, upright basses and violins are made to
have the same feel as an acoustic instrument enabling the player to
comfortably switch between acoustic and electric instruments and able to
enjoy the playing experience.

Tivoli Instruments currently produces a range of instruments:
1. a solid-body electric cello to be played in the customary seated
position,
2. a revolutionary strap-on electric rock cello, and
3. electric upright basses, played either on a stand or traditional
endpin.
4. two models of electric violin; an instrument incorporating a
mono-transducer element under each string and a higher-fidelity
multi-transducer violin.
